Night Shift Tour Poster

Inspired by the tour title Night Shift, this surreal still and motion poster for an alternative band’s tour reimagines a late-night office as a wildlife cam, featuring an office worker in an animal mask atop a cluttered desk under moody, security-camera-style lighting. The chaotic, unexpected scene captures attention while maintaining clarity, turning tour information into part of the experience.

Process

Working collaboratively with a partner and limited external direction, we aimed to make the scene feel chaotic while maintaining control over the outcomes by carefully staging how scattered papers revealed key information. Papers were hung on strings for precise placement, and important elements like tour dates were photographed separately to ensure legibility.

To create depth and a sense of motion—even in the still poster—we pinned and shaped the tour-date paper to appear airborne, then composited it into the final image. Lighting, texture, and type were refined to reinforce the surreal tone while keeping all required tour information clear.
