Keepsake Vinyl Packaging
Branding, Packaging, Photography, Packaging
Keepsake is a nostalgic vinyl package that reimagines Clairo’s songs into a new album, reflecting childhood, growth, and change. Designed for young adults navigating emotional transitions, the project invites listeners to revisit the past through tactile, intimate materials—puzzle pieces, letter beads, paper, and fuzzy textures—creating a sentimental, tangible connection.
Process
I began by selecting 10 tracks from the artist with themes of growth and change, which guided the concept for the repackaged album. I explored visual approaches to nostalgia through textures, materials, and vintage-camera experiments. Through moodboards and sketches, I developed a wooden box structure using puzzle pieces, buttons, and crumpled newsprint as fragments of childhood.
For the front cover, I photographed up close to emphasize texture, while the back expands the collage with broken buttons and puzzle pieces forming the artist’s name and letter beads spelling the tracklist. For the inner panels, I initially planned to continue the same collage style, but chose a fuzzy jacket lining recolored bright green to add contrast and surprise when opening the vinyl while still maintaining warmth and nostalgia.
I then refined composition, lighting, and color to ensure cohesion across the package, creating a tactile, emotional experience that reflects themes of memory, growth, and change.
